NORTH

A research-led project exploring the narratives behind various landscapes in the North of England. Informed by theoretical research and field trips, ‘North’ seeks to encapsulate sense of place, alluding to the imaginings of past lives and happenings intertwined with the land.

The locations studied are steeped in history: mysterious ruins, cup and ring markings, cairns, Iron Age hillforts, a smuggler’s tunnel through the moors, and a preserved neolithic forest.

Who once walked where you set foot? What traces have been left behind?
